So this is a blog I guess. It just has some words and stuff. Maybe you are interested in my life and the stuff I'm interested in.

“Love the fetus, hate the child.”
America makes it near impossible for a woman to stay autonomous—hard to get family planning resources/make the choice of getting an abortion, and harder to get child care support after the baby is born. Leaving women destitute and dependants everywhere.

Look at Canada! Not only do we give almost a full year off, it can be either maternity or paternity. That’s right, daddy can stay home with the baby while the mother goes back to work. And the leave can be also be split between them. For example, the mother could take six months, and then the father could take the other six. Did I also mention that the parent on leave continues to receive pay and is guaranteed their job back?

Further proof that Canada is amazing.

So instead of working on my impending politics essay, I decided to watch the first two episodes of Sherlock (like I need another show to watch.)

oh man guys…

But I will say…

That moment when you realize Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) is the rapist from Atonement.

I will never look at him the same…..

..oh well

AND WATSON!!!!!!

I love this show. Might have to pull an all nighter on wednesday to finish this politics essay…

oh well

I just saw this on my dashboard after reading http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/28/ethicists-in-australia-call-for-after-birth-abortions/ this article about the new lengths abortion is getting too.
Now before I say this I will say
a) I do NOT think it is right to picket abortion clinics or attack woman or couples who have made the decision to have an abortion. As much as I think it is the wrong choice I am under no delusion that it is an easy one. I know several women who have had abortions and they all confess it was the hardest thing they ever had to do and would never make the choice again. Love and compassion is what must be shown to woman considering this choice, not ridicule and shaming.
With that said I will add something my best friend said the other day that really struck a chord with me about abortion. Her finance is adopted, what if his birth parents had decided to abort? She would not have the love of her life and his parents would have never had a beautiful child and been parents. This I feel should remind parents that IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU! Your child could have an impact on someones life you have never met or will never meet. It is not. about. you.
(Also as a complete sidenote I never understood people who were adopted and resented their birth parents for giving them up and not ‘wanting them’. Giving up a child is the most selfless thing you could ever do and deserves respect beyond belief.)

OTH Challenge

Why have I abandoned you? I don’t know..

Day 4- Favorite Male Character.

So I’m just going to not include Nathan since he is clearly the best ever and would win every category.

Jake Jagielski..

There are no words for how much I love this character. The sweetest most amazing boy, father, boyfriend, son, brother, man, friend on the show. I still think he should have ended up with Peyton but he was too good for her anyways. Love him!!!!
